Howard University’s Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership was the first in-person event for the Blackwildgirl book tour. It was special because the director, Dr. Cassandra Venney, knew my mother and so it was wonderful to be in such a supportive environment sharing Blackwildgirl.
